Website Disclaimer, Website Hacked, Domain Name Stolen, But Hey, I am Back !
My website was hacked about two months ago, this was just after my wife put to bed a bouncing baby boy which was one of the happiest days of my life I thank God 🙂 .
However getting back my website online was one of the most harrowing experiences I have ever experienced working on the internet, this is because, each time I tried to remove the virus, ( four different times), the website got hacked over and over again. You can imagine the loss of revenue during the period with my website dropping off Google rankings for some of my most coveted keywords which I plugged into my favourite SEO plugin. These keywords include; “internet business“, “internet business in Nigeria“, “make money online in Nigeria“, “h2i business” or “helping hands business“.
Well guess what? I AM BACK BABY to take back what’s mine. Amen 😀 .

During my challenging period, my domain name www.internetbusinessacademy.com.ng expired and just before I could renew it, someone else snatched it up, my efforts so far to contact the person, to get back my domain name, which I have used for about 6 years now has proved abortive.
PLEASE NOTE:
The domain name www.internetbusinessacademy.com.ng and therefore the website is not under my control, instead, I would be sticking with www.internetbusinessacademy-ng.com ( please note the -ng.com).
Lessons Learnt:
I hope you guys would learn a thing or two from my ordeal.
Install Website Protection. I use WordPress in designing my website and sometimes WordPress is susceptible to attacks by hackers. I learnt how to use WordFence a great plugin tool.
Website Backup: I learnt that had to back up my website three ways.
- By installing the plugin WP Backup to back up my files and database on the server
- By using dropbox, the cloud-based storage facility and enabling auto backup
- By regularly backing up by files and database on my computer
